Bungalow-treehouse

Can a tree be considered structure or architecture?
Although trees belong to the realm of natural matter, they possess an internal structure. However, trees are often more complex or chaotic compared to the structures we build. The cells within their trunks and branches are organized to provide robustness against gravity and wind. These properties are also utilized when timber is used as a construction material. The trunk of a tree, for instance, exhibits excellent resistance to bending stress, which is a common occurrence in human-built structures under loads.

Here comes our latest project, the Bungalow-treehouse located somewhere in southern Sweden. Situated on an incredible plot amidst numerous magnificent trees, our goal is to blend in and mimic the surrounding trees' structure.

The design features an open floor plan with large windows, allowing abundant natural light and breathtaking views of the stunning nature around.

Photovoltaic panels integrated into the roof harness sunlight energy and convert it into electricity.
In trees the chemical energy is converted into chemical energy. By this manner again we mimic the features of trees.
