Our project involves extending an old wooden house made of solid wood. By adding new floor space, we improved the functionality of the house while giving it a modern character. While the extension has a contemporary feel, we made sure to continue the roof angle of the existing structure to maintain its historical context. Adapting to the existing context is important, but it's also crucial to avoid simply mimicking the old style. Historical cities are a great example of how different architectural styles can come together to create an interesting and unique landscape over time.
